Oak Tree Ceramics was built from a hobby that became an obsession and a business. Sandy has been handbuilding for many years and loves creating on the wheel and combining both techniques to create unique pots.
She is fascinated by different glaze techniques and runs workshops teaching others how to explore and create unique pieces. Her mission is to offer pottery that is both decorative and useful.
Having undertaken numerous courses with a range of experienced potters, Sandy now teaches and throws at the Village Pottery and visits the Weybridge Pottery to practise throwing large pots with Major.
Sandy is also a Pilates teacher and offers Barre, Pilates & Dance Fit classes through Vive Ut Vitas when she is not creating pots - and is known as the "Pilates Potter". She has discovered that good core strength is vital for throwing great pots!
